Write a reflection about the classes you oriented this week (bear in mind the following aspects: what you planned, what you did, and what you would do differently if you were to teach your lessons again). Give examples and descriptions of those situations that, in your view, are relevant to your learning experience.
First grade. During this week I had classes the two days with them. On Monday, students had to complete a format with their personal information, also they had to study that information because they will introduce themselves in the other classrooms such as kindergarten and second grade. Only one student finished to complete the format with her information, she went to second graders to introduce herself, she did it very well and second grader’s students understood it. On Wednesday, all the students had to introduce themselves to another classroom. They went to all the classrooms, the majority of them did it very well, only students did not do it as I expected because sometimes she did not go to class, so she was a little bit lost about but she tried. It was very surprising how the little kids listened carefully to their classmates, they mentioned that they wanted to speak in English as their classmates do. It was a nice moment because first graders’ motivate their classmates to learn English. I made an intervention for my innovation plan, I assigned a new task to students, that task was to work actively in class. At the end of the week, I will identify if students performed the task well if they performed well the four accumulative activities their reward will be to watch a movie that they decided to.
Second grade. On Monday, we continued with clothes and accessories vocabulary, I gave some handouts to students and they did it very well.  I gave them as homework for the next class to describe in precise detail a photo and get focus on what people were wearing. On Wednesday, they started with the homework but surprisingly, only a girl did it. Then, I gave them some pictures and they had to describe it, they did the activity and finally they reported their answers orally.
Kindergarten. On Thursday, we continued with topic about my name is… Students had to answer the question what’s your name? also, they had to ask classmates and he/she had to answer it correctly. Then, they will introduce themselves and a classmate, finally, they wrote on their notebooks their names. On Friday we began with a new topic that was “boy or girl”. The class started late because the students were in an extra activity, when I arrived to class they were having breakfast, then all the tables were a mess because they eat but they did not clean the tables, so I cleaned those and I started with the class. I was doing the presentation of the topic when my teaching practicum advisor arrived to observe my class. Then, I gave to them a picture with a boy and a girl and they had to color their genre, when they finished the coloring activity I gave them another picture but in this case with their specific genre, I was doing the second activity when we had to stop and go downstairs because the other teacher wanted to celebrate my birthday.

Educational Autobiography

Educational Autobiography I studied the five years of my primary education in the countryside. As we know, the majority of the schools in the countryside are far away from home, I had to walk 30 minutes every day to arrive school. When I was in third grade I deserted school for 3 months. I did not want to go to study because days ago my family had received an anonymous letter asking for money and threaten us if we did not do what they want or if maybe we tell the police about what was happening to us. I was so scared and I thought that if I go to school maybe those bad people arrive home and something horrible could happen to my family. When the nightmare for us finished, the school teacher send me a letter telling me that it had been three months in which I did not attend to class also, that I had some many absences and if I did not arrive at school I could fail third grade, so I decided to go back at school. I finished my primary education there and I always was the best in school...

Metaphor

Students are a blank piece of paper, a symbol of limitless potential. Teachers are the pen that fills up the paper with knowledge of both the world and the curriculum; with tips and tools that the students may employ as they learn to navigate the world on their own. Teachers are the hands that fold the paper into an airplane and make the students feel as if they could fly. Teachers are the recyclers that find a purpose for the sheet that was previously cast aside. As a pen, teachers fill the minds of students with basic theory’s, concepts and terms to establish a general knowledge base about the world we live in. Teachers can foster self-esteem in children by acknowledging or rewarding exceptional efforts. When a teacher believes in a child, a child will believe in a teacher and feel as though they can tackle anything (feel like they can fly). Lastly, it is the unfortunate truth that, for whatever reason, some students feel as though they are left behind. This does not...
