Write a reflection about the classes you oriented this week (bear in mind the following aspects: what you planned, what you did, and what you would do differently if you were to teach your lessons again). Give examples and descriptions of those situations that, in your view, are relevant to your learning experience.
First grade. During
this week, we did not have class on Monday. On Wednesday, we began with a new
topic that was foods and drinks, students liked the topic, I gave them a
handout with the food pyramid, we analyzed it and then I presented the
vocabulary. Later, I gave another handout where students had to color and write
the food’s or drink’s names. Finally, students reported orally their favorite
food and favorite drink, they liked the topic, the class environment was warm
and students were well-behaved.
Second grade. We
did not have class on Monday. On Wednesday, I did a review about weather
vocabulary and students worked in handouts. At the end of the class, students
had to answer a small questionnaire about the topic and with this activity, I
could notice that the majority of the students understood the topic.
Kindergarten. With
Kindergarten we began with the topic boy or girl. It was an easy topic to
understood for students.
In absolute
terms, I consider that student’s English level is good and it let me have a
very well progression and development in the teaching process. It is also an
advantage for students because they have a very good development in their
learning process. The most notable problem is indiscipline however, they have had
an improvement in their behavior.
